There’s something special about finding the place you’re meant to call home. For our family, it wasn’t just about a house—it was about a dream, a prayer, and a deep desire to create a space where our children could grow, explore, and one day return with their own families.

Praying for Our Land

Before we ever broke ground, before we even knew where we would build, we prayed. We prayed for a place that would give our five kids room to run, play, and create lifelong memories. A place where we could host family gatherings, celebrate milestones, and our kids would want to bring their friends. 

This property was literally right across the street from where we had lived. We drove by it everyday, multiple times. Each time we prayed that if it was meant to be ours, God would make it known. Three years after we started praying, we closed on 7.9 acres of the most beautiful land! 

The Journey of Building

Building a home from the ground up is no small task, but it was one of the most rewarding experiences we’ve had. We didn’t just want to design a house; we wanted to create a home that reflected who we are—a family that loves deeply, laughs often, and welcomes others with open arms.

Our kids were part of the journey from the very beginning. They helped pick out details, explored the land as it transformed into a home, and watched as walls went up around the foundation of our prayers. Seeing their excitement made the process even sweeter.

More than just a house, this is our family’s forever home. A place where childhood memories will be made, where traditions will be built, and where one day, our kids will bring their own families back to the place where it all began.
